The Gross Nerds Knew They Were Playing Wrong All Along!

It’s happening, y’all.
For two years, countless people told me I was mad. They told me I was reading things into the rules that were just not there. They told me that NOBODY, not even Gygax himself played the game like what I claimed would happen if you just played a few rules that nobody has ever really paid much attention to.
Today? Every gross nerd on the planet claims to be an expert on this type of play– to have tried it decades ago, only to throw it out when they came up with something better. Those strange rules that caused countless debates about what they really mean and which everyone fought me tooth and nail on? Huh! There’s no way that could ever have been lost knowledge because I mean look at it! It’s all right there in the rulebooks!
This is really weird to watch, to tell you the truth. And I do hope you have been following along with me here ever since I kicked off the most notorious AD&D campaign since Greyhawk. But be sure to thank the people that really made this happen. I mean, everyone would not have ALWAYS known all about this if it weren’t for the heroic youtube grifters that make videos about my work, presenting it as if it just all miraculously dawned on them while they were sitting by the fire, reading the Dungeon Masters Guide and having a brandy.
You know, it’s not their failure to cite the efforts of the BrOSR in all this that really sticks in my craw. It’s the fact these people never give a shoutout to the other heroes of gaming that were the true pioneers: those guys on youtube that got there first when it came to plagiarizing our efforts!
Seriously. Do these guys have any decency at all?!

The discussions we have been a part of trying to figure out what rules mean in the midst of a game, cracking open rulebooks to double-check the text, making sure that we are trying to interpret in light of the conjunction that Gary used to connect two words… and these grifters think they just magically knew it the whole time and never told anybody? Other than Rick Stump (whose blog is full of proof that he has been doing something like this for decades), have any of these people ever given a SHRED of proof that they have been doing this? Even a single session report?
No?
Fuck ’em all.
What’s happening resembles so much the current shift in the Coronavirus narrative. Crazy.
these were people picking fights with the BROSR now saying “Why aren’t they crediting Jeffro?” It’s kind of amazing.
